The Board of County Commissioners is the legislative and policy-setting body for Palm Beach County government. Seven commissioners are elected, in staggered years, from single-member districts to represent the entire county. A commissioner is limited to two consecutive terms, with each term lasting four years. The commission itself elects the county mayor to preside over its meetings and serve as the ceremonial head of county government, as well as a vice mayor to fill in for the mayor. Commission meetings are the first and third Tuesday of each month, with workshops on the fourth Tuesday, and all are open to the public. The 2024 salary for a county commissioner is $120‚164.

The single most important policy objective I will pursue if elected is housing and affordability, the nature of the challenges we are facing right now in regard to housing affordability include purchasing a home, renting a home, and for those who already own, the cost of insurance. I will ensure that we provide additional transportation options, and ensure that mental health resources are widely available to all constituents. This will ensure a better, safer, and more accessible Palm Beach.
Changes to the budget would shift depending on the year and the most pressing issues. However, as a state legislature who has dealt with a $117 billion budget, I am always ready to attack the issues that are the most pressing.
I will make proposals to fund more first-time homebuyers’ programs and ensure that Sadowski funds are able to come back to the county.
One of the first steps is developing a plan and setting goals and objectives to execute that plan and working with those who have already been in this position to ensure the greatest impact. Additionally, having strong communication with the administration and the citizens to ensure that any issues are addressed in a timely manner.
