I have worked at Columbia Township for approximately 2 years during the initial phase of my career. This experience allowed me to gain valuable insights into the daily operations of a bustling township. It was during this time that I had the opportunity to visit Summit Township for a luncheon at Knights restaurant. Instantly, I fell in love with the area and made the decision to purchase my first home here.
Ever since that moment, I have been a resident of this area for over 30 years. This community has become my home, where I have raised my family and established my businesses. The sense of belonging and the support from the local community have played a significant role in my personal and professional growth.
I am grateful for the opportunities that this area has provided me and I am committed to giving back to the community that has given me so much. It is my goal to continue contributing to the growth and success of this vibrant community through my businesses.
I am running for trustee because I want to contribute to the decision-making process for our community and local businesses. I am confident in my ability to serve as an effective trustee. We are fortunate to have an exceptional group of firefighters, rescue personnel, and police here at Summitt Township. Their dedication to protecting our community is truly commendable. However, one of the major challenges we encounter is the associated costs. It is important to acknowledge that in any business, the largest expense typically revolves around employees. Therefore, it is crucial for us to invest in our workforce. I assure you that I am committed to working closely with the township and our firefighters to ensure their well-being and to safeguard our community.

I was previously on the Summit Township board for 2 terms and attended a number of Michigan Township Association trainings so I'm very familiar with the process and procedures of township governance. I feel I can hit the ground running.
As stated in the previous answer, I've been a trustee and had all of the training. I'm retired and have the time to do the research that needs to be done on so many issues. I know the community and the community knows me.
From the outside looking in I feel we need to take a hard look at our current and future financial situation and come up with a strategic plan.
I feel our police contract with the county is not broken and doesn't need to be fixed. We need to review our fire agreement with the city. Our department spends too much time in the city on medical runs
