If elected, my top three priorities will be housing stability, economic opportunity, and public safety. First, I will continue fighting for affordable housing and homelessness prevention. As chief author of legislation that secured a historic $40 million investment in emergency rental assistance, I have seen how stable housing strengthens families. Second, I will support workforce development, small businesses, and pathways to homeownership. Third, I will advance public safety through violence prevention, mental health investments, strong partnerships with law enforcement, and common-sense gun safety laws. Having lost my sister-in-law, Jenna Rae, to gun violence, I understand the impact these tragedies have on families.
To support a vibrant economy and address inflation, I will focus on lowering costs for working families, investing in workforce development, supporting small businesses, and expanding affordable housing. I will continue advocating for policies that strengthen supply chains, create good-paying jobs, and help families keep more of what they earn. A strong economy is one where businesses can grow, workers can thrive, and families can afford to live, work, and succeed in Minnesota.
I support legislation that expands access to affordable housing, quality education, healthcare, workforce development, and homeownership opportunities. I have authored and supported investments in housing stability, mental health services, and economic opportunity because closing racial and ethnic disparities requires addressing the systemic barriers that limit access to resources and opportunity. Every Minnesotan deserves a fair chance to succeed, regardless of their zip code or background.
Yes. I support adding the Equal Rights Amendment to the Minnesota Constitution because all people deserve equal rights and protections under the law regardless of gender, race, disability, or other protected characteristics. Enshrining these protections in our Constitution strengthens civil rights, promotes fairness, and reflects Minnesota's commitment to equality and opportunity for all. It helps ensure that fundamental rights are protected for future generations.
I support legislation that protects Minnesota’s lakes, rivers, groundwater, and air through strong environmental standards, clean energy investments, and responsible development. I also support efforts to reduce pollution, replace aging water infrastructure, address PFAS contamination, and protect drinking water sources. We can grow our economy while safeguarding the natural resources that are essential to public health, agriculture, recreation, and future generations.
I support legislation that combines prevention, accountability, and community investment to keep Minnesotans safe. This includes violence prevention programs, mental health services, support for law enforcement, common-sense gun safety laws, domestic violence protections, and investments in youth programs and housing stability. Safe communities are built by addressing the root causes of crime while ensuring that law enforcement has the tools and resources needed to protect the public.
I support strengthening campaign finance transparency, increasing disclosure requirements for political spending, and expanding public financing options to amplify the voices of everyday citizens. Voters deserve to know who is funding campaigns and influencing elections. I also support measures that reduce the influence of dark money and help ensure that elected officials remain accountable to the people they serve, not special interests.
