County Commissioner, Precinct No. 4

Each county in Texas is divided geographically into four commissioner precincts. Only voters residing within a precinct may vote for that precinct’s Commissioner. Commissioners are members of the Commissioners Court which controls courthouses and jails, appoints/employs personnel, adopts the county budget, calls bond elections, authorizes contracts and canvasses election returns, and also work independently to build/maintain roads, bridges, libraries and parks and administer within their precinct. Term: Four (4) years
