The Texas House of Representatives is one of two chambers that make up the Texas Legislature. The representative is one of 150 representatives from separate districts across the state. Working with the Texas Senate, the Texas House considers proposed laws and resolutions, considers proposed constitutional amendments for submission to the voters, appropriates all funds for the operation of state government, and periodically redraws federal and state congressional maps. All bills for raising revenue considered by the legislature must originate in the House of Representatives. The House alone can bring impeachment charges against a statewide officer, which charges must be tried by the Senate. Current annual salary: $7,200, plus $221 for every day the Legislature is in session, including any special sessions. Term: Two (2) years

I believe government should serve all people. My mission is simple: put people at the heart of every decision and drive progress. Raised as one of eight adopted children, I learned early to advocate for fairness and opportunity. I believe in listening first, acting with integrity and purpose while creating solutions that strengthen communities.
I hold a Criminal Justice degree with a Social Justice focus and am pursuing a Master’s in Public Policy. My background spans Public Safety and Project Management, including leading hurricane recovery and COVID-19 response efforts. I strive to lead efforts that make government more responsive and accountable to its communities.
All Texas students should have access to strong neighborhood public schools. To ensure that, state policy must fully and fairly fund public schools, protect their stability, and ensure accountability measures are applied fairly. I also support reform to STARR and standardized testing to measure student and teacher performance.
I support expanding Medicaid and conducting a comprehensive review of healthcare policy, rather than continuing the current piecemeal approach that addresses only isolated parts of the system and fails to confront affordability directly. State government should invest in public health and ensure local governments have the resources they need to implement health initiatives effectively.
I support updating Texas election laws to include online voter registration for all eligible residents. This would streamline the process and ensure that no eligible voter is disenfranchised by an outdated mail-in system. My goal is to maintain a secure election infrastructure that facilitates, rather than restricts, the participation of eligible Texans.
Texas has strong economic development programs, but we need greater accountability to make sure they create real opportunities for Texans. I support strengthening collaboration with agencies like the Texas Workforce Commission so businesses receiving state support are actually connecting people to good‑paying jobs.
With billions already committed by the legislature and voters, our focus now must be ensuring the Texas Water Development Board can deliver its projects effectively and that municipalities can access the technical support they need. We should pursue a vision that empowers every Texan to help preserve our water future through conservation.
Rapid growth is straining infrastructure and leaving residents without vital housing information. I propose a Developer Transparency Standard for proactive communication and timely updates on delays. I also support a Neighborhood Conditions Overview in real estate disclosures, summarizing key projects and timelines to help buyers and renters make informed decisions.
