Represents the people of the State of Texas in prosecuting all felony and misdemeanor criminal cases in the district courts, county courts at law, and justice courts. The District Attorney represents the State in cases of asset forfeiture, bond forfeitures, juvenile matters, and protective orders. Term of office: 4 years.
