A year spent as a high school exchange student in France inspired my teaching career. I taught French at Southwest High School in the FWISD for 29 years, serving as Department Chair and on district and statewide curriculum committees. I also mentored immigrant and refugee students. Political activism-especially advocating for women’s rights-has defined my civic life. For the past 15 years I have served as a volunteer docent at the Kimbell Art Museum. Exploring art and culture unites us.
Because of how our elections system is set up, we have always had free and fair elections with little to no voter fraud. We need to make it easier for voters to know when elections are and what candidates will be on their ballots. Texas needs to explore the process of sending mail-in ballots to all registered voters; as this has been very successful in other states such as Colorado and Nevada.
Expand Medicaid. It’s ridiculous that we have left hundreds of millions of our tax dollars in D.C. because Greg Abbott won’t take federal money. That hurts those most in need. Our ultimate goal is universal single-payer healthcare.
We need to look towards industries that have a positive impact on our future. We should work to bring green energy jobs through solar and wind. We should use the levers of government to make these industries want to choose Texas to build. An educated workforce will attract investment. Texas should expand access to vocational and technical training by providing grants and no-interest loans to motivated students.
I truly believe we need to explore joining the national grid and not keeping Texas a country unto itself. It only makes economic sense for Texas to join the national grid.
Make sure that any mandates passed by the legislature are funded and that the financial obligation is not transferred to school districts without proper funding. I would move to repeal vouchers, limit the expansion of charter schools, and ensure and set up a system of school financing that is permanently funded for more than 2 years at a time so that school districts can plan more successfully to serve their students.

For over a decade, I’ve served on the Crowley ISD Board of Trustees, gaining deep experience in public education and government budgets. As a small business owner with 60+ employees, I understand the pressures of meeting payroll and navigating economic growth. I’m a father of three and a lifelong Texan focused on pragmatic solutions—not culture wars. My unique blend of fiscal responsibility and dedication to public service makes me ready to lead District 97 on day one.
Protecting our democracy requires a balanced approach that removes barriers for eligible voters while ensuring every ballot is counted securely. I support modernizing registration through online and automatic voter registration to streamline the process. To ensure security, we must provide fully funded, paper-trail-verified voting systems and protect election workers from intimidation. We can achieve both accessibility and integrity by expanding early voting and ending partisan gerrymandering.
Texas must expand Medicaid to cover over one million uninsured residents. This brings our tax dollars back from Washington to support rural hospitals and lower costs for everyone. As a trustee, I saw the need for mental health access; I’ll fight to expand school-based services and community clinics. We must also lower drug prices through transparency and increased competition. By prioritizing people over politics, we can ensure every Texan has the care they deserve.
I’ll champion vocational and trade funding so workers graduate career-ready without debt. I propose a FAMLI program, allowing small business employees to access paid leave through a state-pooled fund, benefiting businesses and employees. To fix low program utilization, I’ll advocate for a standalone Texas Small Business Development Agency—moving support out of the Governor’s office and into our neighborhoods to ensure entrepreneurs actually access the resources they need to thrive.
I’ll propose legislation to make Texas the green energy capital of the world by investing in infrastructure and promoting local projects. This initiative brings high-paying jobs to communities left behind while lowering utility costs for consumers. Expanding our renewable sector is a triple-win: it’s good for the economy, the environment, and our pocketbooks. By leading the global energy transition, we ensure Texas remains an economic powerhouse for the next generation.
As a Crowley ISD Trustee, I know schools need resources, not mandates. I support using the state surplus to increase the Basic Allotment while specifically funding class-size reductions. Smaller classes are a win-win: they improve student outcomes and combat teacher burnout by lightening the daily load. I firmly oppose vouchers that siphon taxpayer dollars away to handpicked private schools. We must keep our public funds in public classrooms to support every student in District 97.

I was a project manager for years and worked in customer service as a representative, supervisor, manager, project manager and subject matter expert for 17 years. I learned to listen and take action. I have been in my District for over 3 years every day talking to people, researching laws and finding solutions to help people. I am a pillar in the community. I have been actively involved with democratic politics for a decade.
Stop intimidation at the polls especially during primaries in red precincts. Change voter registration system. As a VDR, I still have people in pending status since September. It shouldn't take a week to validate that a person is qualified to vote. Mail-in ballots should be easier to obtain. Registration and request for mail-in ballots should be completed online. Registration cards are being sent back to the County Elections without follow-up. People should get a conf code to track registration
First, I would ask the governor to ask our federal government for the funds that Abbott rejected. I would legalize marijuana and all state revenue would go into a healthcare fund that would help fund county hospitals, mental health facilities and help those in need of healthcare costs. Every one deserves to have the best healthcare and be healthy.
First, we need educated people and a livable wage. My platform includes $20 minimum wage and add $1 every year out economy grows. Small businesses would receive a tax credit to help offset the addtl expense of salary increase. Provide $10k per year for anyone who wants to attend a trade school or college in Texas. Students would need to complete community service (hours based on tuition cost). This will help beautify our communities, while learning about different cultures.
Fix the grid. Reduce the number of data centers, crypto, AI centers that are coming to Texas and charge them to help build our grid and water supply. Currently, they are receiving tax abatements in the billions and they are only hiring 20 to less than 100 people each. We are saving them billions in tax revenue that could help with infrastructure, hospitals and public education and in turn is costing Texans billions.
Remove vouchers and increase public education funding. Revenue from the Texas Lottery was intended for education, however, it goes to the General fund. I want to change it and add in the state constitution that all lottery and gambling revenue go to public education fund.
