Protect our farm land and local food resources Improve our infrastructure including roads, first responders and services Put education choices back in the hands of parents
School choice Reduce taxes so parents can choose where to invest Allow for all types of education to be choices for parents
Insurance is the biggest issue. Insurance needs to be across state lines to create a more competitive system. Bottom line is insurance should not have control over doctors nor the care they prescribe for their patients.
Start by protecting our farms and green spaces. Mandate local governments maintain a percentage of greeen spaces, farms and public spaces. Mandate stricter regulations on privately paid infrastructure improvements with development projects.

Create the South Carolina Economic Development Tax Incentive Evaluation Act. This would mandate that the Department of Revenue conduct an assessment every two years to determine the effects of economic development tax incentives, taking into account both the financial and economic costs. Strike out and repeal Section 44-1-100 chapter 12 the Executive Office of Health and Policy. Which says, "...all sheriffs and constables in the several counties of this State and police officers and health officers of cities and towns must aid and assist the Director of the Department of Public Health and Environmental Control and must carry out and obey his orders..." We should have only one chief executive with that power and it's the Governor. I want to introduce a Statewide Drug Donation Act which would be a law that allows pharmacies and medical facilities to accept and dispense donated prescription drugs and supplies to patients who cannot afford them.
Teaching techniques and skills can be greatly enhanced by funding quality enhancement initiatives, such as one-on-one coaching and assistance for early educators. These initiatives, such as SC First Steps', give educators the tools they need to improve the standard of early childhood education and care. Enforcing laws such as the Integrity in Education Act may contribute to the preservation of a supportive educational atmosphere. This act would guarantee that educators abstain from social or political activism while putting an emphasis on excellence, critical thinking, and independence. Additionally, it would safeguard against ideological indoctrination and preserve students' privacy. When it comes to their children’s education, parents should have the freedom to make informed decisions. Every child is unique, with varying learning styles, abilities, and needs. Some children thrive in traditional classroom settings, while others may benefit from alternative approaches.
Accessibility and the Uninsured Population, Quality and Efficiency of Healthcare, and State Resources and Uncompensated Care Costs are the ones I would mention. I believe that increasing Medicaid would be a poor idea. We must prioritize other critical services and deploy resources wisely. Expanding Medicaid might put a pressure on the state's budget, harming other essential services such as education, infrastructure, and public safety. It's not fiscally responsible. I don't think it really improves the quality of care. The Medicaid system, with limited provider networks, reimbursement rates, and administrative difficulties, takes a one-size-fits-all approach. I believe in market-based solutions above government expansion. I believe that providing customers with choice and competition can reduce prices and enhance quality without relying primarily on Medicaid expansion.
I would work locally with my friends in south Greenville to come up with ways to protect our way of rural living. I propose creating one-time impact or transactional fee for developers/investors. Along with applying more state revenue into the Rule Infrastructure Fund for local rural areas. This will help preserve the natural beauty and quality of life in our state. By proposing a bill across the state that a minimal number of homes being built the developers must invest a factored amount into the community.
I will fight for legal safeguards for IVF operations and access to contraception as critical components of reproductive rights and healthcare independence. Supporting these protections ensures that individuals have the opportunity to pursue children through IVF without prejudice, as well as access to contraception for informed family planning decisions. These safeguards support the ideals of bodily autonomy, improve public health, and enable people to make independent decisions about their reproductive health and destiny.
