I am a former public school teacher of almost a decade. I have taught kinder, 2nd, 4th, GT, and special ed inclusion. I have worked at Disability Rights Texas and interned at the White House Initiative for Excellence in Education for Hispanics, Civil Rights Division, in Washington, D.C. I am currently a practicing attorney who focuses on children in foster care and helping families in custody situations. I have spent the last 20 years either educating or protecting children.
I believe happy, healthy families are the bedrock of our society. The most fundamental challenge facing families today is the affordability of everyday life. I would focus on supporting working families by regulating reckless tariffs which drive inflation, reforming student loan repayment, and expanding access to Pre-K to help families pay the high costs of childcare.
At a minimum, Congress should continue to fund and support the ACA. I believe strengthening and expanding the ACA and allowing it to achieve its full potential is the best way to provide affordable health care to all Americans.
I believe Congress needs to use the mechanisms it has in place to make sure that there is a balance in power. I believe Congress has broad discretion in creating laws and holding the executive branch accountable when they step outside the bounds of the law. Congress also has the spending power to be able to decide which programs are implemented and which will not receive funding. I believe they should use these powers for the benefit of the American people.
The system is in desperate need of reform. I believe we should establish laws which allow established individuals who have worked hard and followed the law a realistic path to citizenship. I would support bipartisan legislation which secures our borders without sacrificing our national identity as a beacon of freedom.
I believe expanding solar and wind energy infrastructure is the key to a sustainable future. The tax code should more greatly incentivize the purchase or lease of both new and pre-owned electric vehicles.

Lowering & Controlling Deficit & Interest Rates = Driving Down Cost of Living 2). Nationalize Florida 2018 Gun Bill = Prioritize School Safety and Communities. 3). Reform IRS = Protect Social Security and Medicare
Reform, Affordable Care Act will improve healthcare Access for all.
To protect and uphold the Constitution of The United States of America, At all costs.
A legal and fair pathway to enter and citizenship.
By investing in innovation, scale up renewable and diversify in clean and safe energy sources. We must also protect & reform EPA agency.
I hold an MBA in Accounting. My career has focused on financial reporting and financial management. I routinely walk into new and sometimes troubled situations, learn what has happened, and formulate solutions. I will put my legs under the desk to execute the difficult work of Congressional oversight. Elon Musk likes to solve perceived problems with a chainsaw, I use a pencil and simple A-R-I-T-H-M-E-T-I-C.
Affordability and reform of Congress. For forty years, elites of both parties have pandered to corporate greed, hollowing out our middle class and warping American society. On Congressional reform, I advocate term limits - 4 6-year terms for Senators, 12 2-year terms for Representatives. I advocate a ban on all stock trading by Senators, Representatives, and their staffs. I will push to return Congress to regular order, rather than letting leadership guide legislative policy.
The best access to affordable healthcare is to make Medicare available to all. If your union or employer has something better, keep it. If you don't want health insurance you don't have to join. In addition to ensuring access to healthcare, Medicare for all would free all employees to change jobs - or start their own companies - without fear of losing health insurance.
Our Constitution did not envision coequal branches of government - Richard Nixon thought that up in the 1970's to resist Congressional oversight. Article I is first because the Founding Fathers wanted We The People to guide our nation via the House and Senate. Congress has long ceded its authority to the Executive; imposing term limits, banning stock trading, and returning to normal order would all increase public trust in Congress, enabling it to resume its constitutional role.
Border security - at the border - requires additional investment in CBP Special Agents, judges and court staff, and detention facilities in order to adjudicate asylum claims fairly and quickly. Immigration policy - who comes and who stays - must reflect America's needs and be flexible as our needs change. Effective immigration policy must be fact-based and bipartisan.
America needs energy from all sources, renewables, nuclear, and - yes - hydrocarbons. Experience has shown that proactive regulation can reduce emissions from hydrocarbons. I advocate restoring regulation of hydrocarbons while aggressively expanding innovation and installation of renewables and nuclear energy to ensure America has be power we need to retain technological leadership.
My values are courage, integrity, and service. I spent my career in public service for 25 years with the National Park Service. I worked across the West protecting public lands, preserving history, and supporting families in telling vital American stories. I have spent my life standing up for people: leading a group in my town to save a formerly segregated Mexican American schoolhouse, working with orphans in the Peace Corps to expand educational opportunities, and donating a kidney to stranger.
Our DEMOCRACY is under attack. I will fight to protect our shared values, and restore accountable, humane leadership.

Most of us want the same things, even when we disagree on how to achieve them. By listening and treating everyone with respect and dignity, we can find COMMON GROUND and move forward together.

Advancing the COMMON GOOD for working Americans means creating policies that make life more affordable for families, seniors, children, and the most vulnerable in our communities.
I believe health care is a basic right for every person. In the short term, I support reinstating the ACA tax credits; expanding Medicaid so more Texans can receive care; and protecting and strengthening Medicare so seniors can access the doctors and treatments they depend on. In the long term, we need a universal system of healthcare so everyone has access to primary care, mental health care, reproductive health care, and preventive services. I support a Medicare For All type of program.
Congress makes and changes laws. Executive regulations are made only under the authority of these laws. Congress controls the budget and uses the GAO to ensure spending is ethical and effective. Congressional oversight of the Exec branch is an important check on the President's power and a balance against his discretion in implementing laws and making regulations. Congress approves Presidential nominations, and can impeach the President and remove him from office. Only Congress can declare war.
I support Rep. Escobar’s bipartisan Dignity Act. It secures our borders, fixes our visa backlog, and grants legal status to hardworking, law-abiding immigrants already living in the US. We're a country of immigrants. Data shows that immigrants commit less crime and provide more entrepreneurship than non-immigrants. So let's pull ICE out of our cities, stop the inhumane rhetoric, support Border Patrol to do the work we need and want at our borders, and fast-track citizenship for Dreamers.
Restore tax credits for wind and solar, invest in geothermal, and complete our transition from coal to natural gas. We need oil and gas in the short term, but we should invest in non-fuel uses for abundant coal reserves. Restore credits for e-vehicles and end rhetoric that maligns new technology. Clean energy and EVs are the future; the federal govt needs to lead the transition. Emphasize job retraining and new ways for communities to feel pride outside of identities tied to old energy.
