I am an engineer, entrepreneur retired CEO and Marine combat veteran.
I would like to see a law which annually mandates gun safety instruction for all K-12 students. Similar to the new state Law of Tennessee acted this year. Stop, Don't Touch, Leave, Tell an Adult. This law would ensures constant viewpoint-neutral lessons across the education system in Texas.
I believe in the rights of a woman and man to make a logical decision regarding themselves and their family. Reproductive Rights do not need to he legislated by any State.
None, because those offices are elected by the people not appointed by the state.
Local and state governments must have control of their borders. Thus enabling US citizens to be safe in their homes and safeguard their way of life in the communities
Stop spending money on new stadiums and gyms. The money must be spend on classrooms and teacher's pay and attracting Great teachers who specialize in what they are teaching. Math, Science, History, English etc
This decision needs to be completely left up to the persons conscience and morels. Not he State
Climate change according to science is mostly a cyclic change.
Voter registration and Voter ID's with a picture and a local address on the ID. The address stops people from voting out side the district which they live.
There are lots of items which will be pressing next session. Presently I am not in a position to tell you which will be most pressing nor how I would vote. But i will tell you if elected I will vote as my heart and constituents tell me I should.

Decades as a businessman.
There are no reliable studies indicating that gun control improves citizen safety. Solutions are cultural and societal. A renewal of faith, and the personal responsbility that comes with it, is a start. This is a tough one.
Right to life is established law in Texas after extensive debate. There is no need to change it.
Additional restraints are needed to limit property tax growth. More thoughts at https://chadcarnahan.com/home/lower-property-tax/
The border is contained at this time. Current procedures should be retained.
School choice is here. It is now subject to local governance. Oversight from the state should be focused on improving and extending any benefits to all students.
None. It has been settled by extensive debate in the legislature.
The focus should be community welfare rather than climate change. We need economic growth that does not endanger health.
Access to voting is not a problem in Texas. Voting machines should be replaced by tools that can be openly and reliably audited.
