The Seagoville City Council consists of five council members and a Mayor, elected at large to two-year places with staggered terms. City Councilmembers shall serve no more than three (3) consecutive two (2) year terms, excluding the Mayor. If no candidate for Mayor or a city council place receives 50% or more of he votes, there will be a runoff election.The Council is the governing body of the City, responsible for setting policy, approving the City budget, and enacting municipal ordinances. The City Council appoints the City Manager, City Secretary, City Attorney, Municipal Judge, and other officials as designated by the City Charter. Public hearings, legal notices, and city ordinance captions are published in the official newspaper, Daily Commercial Record.

I bring a combination of professional experience, community involvement, and a strong commitment to Seagoville. Through my work on the economic development board and my involvement with the Seagoville Youth Sports Association, I’ve built relationships across the community and understand the importance of responsible growth, transparency, and supporting local businesses. I’m focused on practical, data-driven decisions that strengthen our city and serve all residents.
By prioritizing responsible budgeting, data-driven decision making, and transparency. I believe in focusing resources on essential services, supporting smart economic development to grow our tax base, and finding efficiencies within city operations. The goal is to maintain the level of service residents expect while being good stewards of taxpayer dollars.
Our city should maintain strong local control while working with state and federal agencies when it clearly benefits our residents. Partnerships with agencies like the U.S. Department of Homeland Security should be focused on areas such as emergency preparedness, disaster response, and public safety resources. However, local leaders must ensure decisions remain guided by the needs and values of our community, with transparency and accountability to the people we serve.
I support policies that ensure every resident is treated fairly and with respect when interacting with city services. This includes clear non-discrimination policies, consistent training for city staff, and transparent procedures for addressing concerns. Our goal should be to provide equal access to services and opportunities while maintaining accountability and trust within the community.
I believe we should continue evaluating practical transportation options that improve mobility for residents while being mindful of cost and long-term sustainability. This could include strengthening regional partnerships, exploring targeted transit solutions, and ensuring residents have reliable ways to access jobs, education, and essential services.
One of our greatest challenges will be managing the growth happening around us as neighboring cities continue to expand. This also presents an opportunity for Seagoville to grow in a thoughtful way—supporting economic development, attracting quality businesses, and strengthening infrastructure while protecting the character of our community. We should focus on balanced growth that supports families and long-term value, rather than development that simply adds rooftops without contributing to jobs, services, and the overall quality of life for our residents.
