10+ years working in city government, helping neighbors;
10+ years guiding amazing teams through change and getting things done;
14+ years of professional experience in information organization, access, and security, including a Master's degree in Library and Information Sciences;
Born and raised in Amarillo;
Always focused on community first.
District Clerks are essential to maintaining and securing accurate court records and providing excellent service to community members and professionals interacting with the courts through jury duty and records access.
If elected and honored with Potter County community trust, my first goal will be to ensure a smooth transition into the role, while creating as little negative impact for community members and court employees as possible. I also understand that there has been a great deal of turnover and disruption to this team, so I expect to dedicate time to stabilizing and re-motivating the department.
This role is so integral to court operations that I am surprised that it is an elected position AND that the election is partisan rather than skills-focused. There is potential to disrupt essential Potter County services with this process. Throughout my campaign, I hope to bring awareness to the disconnect of electing a position that requires high technical knowledge and experience.
