I believe the greatest need for the township continues to be that of housing insecurity. I think it takes more of us working with and alongside landlords and property managers to ensure the cost of rent remains affordable.
As a current Board, I am proud to say the township has expanded many of our current community partnerships; however, I think there may be some gaps in assisting those in need with healthcare assistance. This expansion of services would allow the township to assist families in another basic need to assist with the quality of life.
As a current board member, I think the more proactive we can be in communicating the variety of support available at the Trustee's office, the earlier we can intervene early and be more effective.

As a Board member, I can work with the Trustee and other members of the board to offer events that would engage the community in a setting that allows them to enjoy themselves and take advantage of free resources, all while learning about the many services available to them.
I think the Township Board's role in supporting the local economy is not to just give people fish but to develop partners and have resources available to assist people in learning how to fish. This could be by offering job fairs, having free classes on how to write resumes or interview for a job, and/or have technology available for Warren residents to fill out online applications. When residents make a living wage, they contribute to the economy. The Township Board can help support that.
