Personal Biography I was raised in Overland Park in a proud Union family. Now, my husband Chris and I live in Lenexa with our two awesome kids: 10-year-old Charlie and 7-year-old Lilly. I began my career as a public school teacher before earning my law degree. Now I work for a local government in the area of health and human services.
Education After graduating from St. Thomas Aquinas High School, I earned both my bachelor’s and master’s degrees in English from Emporia State University. I earned my law degree from UMKC School of Law.
Community/Public Service During my time as a commercial litigator, I had the opportunity to provide pro bono legal services though Legal Aid of the Western District of Missouri’s Adopt-A-Neighborhood and the Dilley Pro Bono Project. I am proud to serve as a Board Member of the Missouri Family Health Council, as a Board of Governor for the Kansas Bar Association, and as a Committee Co-Chair for the Kansas Women Attorney Association.
As a mom, attorney, small business owner, and former teacher, raised in Johnson County, I understand what is important to suburban Kansas families – I live it every single day.

From the courtroom to the soccer field, I know what Johnson County families are dealing with and what’s keeping us up at night. I’m running for State Legislature to work on those issues and represent the will of District 30.

In our State House, I will champion public education, support Kansas families, and protect all Kansans from government interference into personal medical decisions. I hope you will join me.
1) Investing in education: As a former public school teacher, I am passionate about the crucial role public education plays in our community. I will fight to maintain the excellent education Kansans expect from our public schools.

2) Protecting our freedoms: Each and every Kansan deserves the freedom to make private medical decisions without government interference. I firmly believe there is no room for government involvement in these personal decisions. I will continue to fight against efforts to erode our freedoms.

3) An economy that works for working families: I support responsible tax cuts for all, especially hard-working Kansas families. I will advocate for tax policies that will truly grow Kansas’ economy.
The responsibility to educate the public starts with the Legislature as a body and legislators individually. I believe the "Gut and Go" process should be eliminated.
Our goal should be to make voting easier and more accessible for everyone who is eligible.
