By focusing on common ground, the group mind blooms and solutions for the greater good become rooted to create lasting change.

Because of all the previous roles I've had, I bring a unique perspective about the role state government’s plays in our daily lives. I have worked with Kansas' Dept of Health & Environment, Dept. of Corrections-Juvenile Services, Dept. for Children and Families, Attorney General Victim Services, Children's Cabinet, Dept of Education, Governor's Grants Program, Dept. of Aging & Disability Services. Throughout my career, I have worked to collaborate and advocate to improve childen's lives and strengthen families. I have relationships in the statehouse that will allow me to get to work immediately to solve problems for my neighbors in Saline County. As a 3 term school board member, I know the importance of local control & effective governance.
1. Maintain adequate funding for Public Education and meet legal obligation for Special Education funding. 2. Increase access to medical and mental health services. 3. Lift local issues to solve problems through a bipartisan approach.
Use a labeling system by the year the bill is being worked instead of reusing numbers across difference sessions and promote the youTube channel for all KS Legislative meetings.

I am an advocate for the Gut and Go process to be eliminated.
I will work to ensure voters have access to a polling process that allows citizens of the United States the right to excercise their right to vote with as few barriers as possible in order to protect freedom.

Personal Biography I am a Central KS leader seeking solutions to leave places better than I found them. As a wife and mother of three, I am always trying to find balance between home and work. My career has allowed me opportunities as an advocate for human rights and universal access to quality education throughout a child’s life. In order to run for office, I just left my position as Executive Director of Child Advocacy and Parenting Services. My career has been in education and disability supports.

Over three decades as a small business owner and administrator in public education, disability supports and child abuse prevention, I have learned families are the foundation for society. When they thrive, we all do. My leadership is steeped locally through community investment of time, talent and treasure. My career demonstrates an openness and willingness to listen and to collaborate to improve our community. During this campaign, my love for meeting new people and discovering how we are connected has been elevated at voter’s doors. I have made myself available in person, by phone and through varied platforms electronically. This will continue once I am elected. I am not a politician. I want to be the representative of the 69th district
The largest issue is the lack of bipartisan problem solving. The two party system has polarized our government to be ineffective.

By meeting the legal obligation for Special Education funding, general fund budgets increase. This investment into these students benefits not only their unique needs, but also allows districts resources to address low wages across the profession & flexibility with general funds.

Increase access to medical and mental health services, not only cost of care, but also the providers to be available when available.

I will study these issues and collaborate with local experts and colleagues in the legislature to innovate new policy.
It would be helpful to not reuse bill numbers unless there is a session qualifier ahead of it (ie: HB2024-1 would indicate the first bill introduced in the House in the 2024 session.)

I don't believe the gut and go process honors our citizens. It's a bait and switch tactic that doesn't allow Kansans to remain informed on the origin and changes to the bill.

I appreciate the video broadcast and archival to allow participation in following the actions of the Legislature when unable to attend in person.
Enabling our citizens a process that limits barriers to participation is critical to our free nation. Making the Secretary of State a non-partisan role would be helpful to remove the potential influence from politics. I also believe our two party system is flawed and exploring alternative systems such as fusion voting would be a path forward.
