The Kansas House of Representatives is the lower house of the legislature of the U.S. state of Kansas. Composed of 125 state representatives from districts with roughly equal populations of at least 19,000, its members are responsible for crafting and voting on legislation, helping to create a state budget, and legislative oversight over state agencies.

Personal Biography
A native Kansan who was born and raised in the eastern part of the state and has lived over 55 years in western Kansas. A resident of Finney county, KS since 1981. Served as a financial advisor for over 40 years before transitioning my practice to a partner in 2020. Married to Janyth (Frack) for 54 years. Two children - Daughter, Jalonna, and family in Lee's Summit, MO and son, Brendon, and family in Olathe, KS. Six grandchildren.
Education
Earned BS and MS degrees from Fort Hays State University in Hays, KS.
Community/Public Service
Have served on numerous non-elected boards such as the Kansas Public Employees Retirement System (KPERS) Board of Trustees and the Kansas Association of Counties governance board, as well as in elected positions on the Garden City Community College Board of Trustees (past) and the Finney County Board of Commissioners (current).
I believe I have the attitude of a servant leader who listens to constituents and makes decisions after hearing various viewpoints. I am committed to having respectful conversations/discussions, but also being bold about basing my decisions and actions on Biblical principles.
Not sure I can name just three. However, overall, I believe there must be more respect of local government (counties, cities, school boards, etc) by state government. I believe there must be more civil discussions about social and education issues, as well as more focus on providing "a hand up" rather than "a hand out" with regard to governmental services. I intend to be a participant in deliberate and respectful discussions about any and all issues.
Not sure about the first question, until I am part of the process and learn more about the current system. I am not a fan of "gut and go," because I believe it puts legislators in a difficult position for voting on issues. However, I still need more education about the legislative process to form a informed opinion.
I believe election laws and voting systems in Kansas currently are among the most safe and secure in our country. There is always room for improvement of any systems/process, however, as long as our state's election system is in the hands of local elected and appointed election officers, and photo ID is required, I am not sure what those improvements might be.
