As an Architect for over 30 years, I have experience and knowledge that would be an asset to the Borough. I have an open mind and am willing to listen to a multitude of opinions and giving them due and fair consideration before making an informed decision on how things may affect the community.
The main challenge facing the smallest Borough in the county is the aging infrastructure and the lack of a tax base that is able to self support capital projects. This in conjunction with some residents who don’t want things to change. We live in a beautiful town that is uniquely situated in a beautiful location. It is a matter of finding a balance of needed improvements while being respectful to the unique positive attributes that people love. Plan ahead to be proactive as opposed to reactive.
I believe strongly in inclusion and accessibility. As an architect, this is ingrained in everything I do. The perfect example of this is actually right in our town. PVB Brewery who promotes inclusion and accessibility, and has gone above and beyond what is required to provide physical accommodations for as many of our diverse population as possible. This ranges from providing a sensory room, to the type of lighting, and the type of font on the menu and beer labels, making things easy to read.
