Profession Small Business Owner - Tile and Construction
Campaign Endorsements 1) Finger Lakes Police Federation 2) Rochester Police Locust Club
I've been a Fairport homeowner for 14 years and have volunteered with the Fairport Music Festival for the past eight. I own a family tile installation business that has served the Rochester area for decades. I started working alongside my father while still in high school, and when he became critically ill, I stepped in to run the company and have carried on the relationships and reputation he built. Running a small business means managing budgets, keeping your word and making tough decisions under pressure. As a homeowner and business owner, I understand what it takes to keep Fairport both welcoming and sustainable.
Safer, easier movement through the Village. More activity brings more traffic, parking pressure and safety concerns for pedestrians, including e-bikes on sidewalks and busy crossings near Main Street. I would work with residents, businesses, our police and Village staff to identify problem areas and put practical fixes in place, such as better crosswalks and signage, clear rules for e-bikes, and smarter parking and traffic management during busy weekends and events. Small, well-planned improvements can make a big difference in how safe and welcoming Fairport feels for everyone.
I support responsible growth that fits the scale and character of the Village. Zoning should protect our neighborhoods and historic feel while giving homeowners and small businesses clear, predictable rules. As a homeowner, I know people chose their street for what it is today. Broad changes like allowing accessory dwelling units throughout our residential neighborhoods could add density, parked cars and traffic to streets that were never designed for it, and residents deserve a real say before anything like that moves forward. As someone in the trades, I also know how frustrating unclear or inconsistent requirements can be, so I'd like to see processes that are straightforward and fair. Any major change should put quality of life first.
Affordability and public safety. As a homeowner and small business owner, I feel rising costs just like my neighbors do. I would keep costs front of mind in every budget decision, question new spending, and make sure growth strengthens our tax base instead of adding to residents' burden. At the same time, residents need to feel safe in their homes, on their streets and downtown. I would support our police, fire and ambulance services so they have the resources to keep pace with a busier village, and work to address everyday safety concerns like traffic and pedestrian safety. This is a one-year seat, and I plan to make every day count.
