#1 One of my primary concerns facing Douglass Township is the proper development of our beautiful residentially zoned properties. I am also concerned for proper use of commercial and agricultural areas. #2 As a Democrat, I can see many issues before us as a result of changes in our Federal, State and County governments. Waste and fraud must be eliminated but carving out funding for our average citizens is NOT the solution! #3 Commentary is not news! Truth is imperative, lies can be criminal !
I was a substitute teacher. I managed a 98 unit motel for 16 years. I was a councilmen for West Wyoming Borough, Pa. for 4 years and was very active in budget decisions. I owned a restaurant/tavern from 1990-2020 , 30 years of business experience. I know how hard it is to live on Social Security and a pension. My mom lived at a nursing from age 90-93. I know how important Medicare is!!
I'd ask for a tax base that could raise the funds to provide for all our needs. Clean air and water, top notch education, proper use of all the resources before us, the ability for us to provide for ourselves and share the rest with our less fortunate. Our elected officials first must be truthful and then keep the best interest of all residents in their minds always.
I need to find a way to gain the trust of our residents so they want to become involved in their own governing. I need them to know I want their needs asked for and their complaints expressed and know they will be addressed. I will always try my best to honestly express every vote or opinion I offer. Disagreements are options not explored. Lets test them together.

Qualifications - 25 consecutive years experience in local, county, and state government. - Township Supervisor, Douglass, 2018-present (Chairman). - Decade+service on the Open Space/Rec Committee, Planning Agency, and founding member of the Emergency Services Board. - PSATS PMGA educated - extensive experience.
1. Emergency Services (police, fire, and EMS). I have created direct dedicated funding sources for fire and EMS, and our police department is finally at full staff with our first female hire in over 25 years. 2. Proper Development. I have overseen the responsible and proper development and/or preservation of our lands in the township and helped bring in hundreds of new jobs to the community in the last eight years. 3. Public Works. We have secured funding sources for road and bridge projects.
For the last 8 years, I have overseen budget creation, modification and approval for $5 million dollars of our tax payer monies, successfully providing all necessary services to the community without a general fund tax increase in over five (5) years. I led the Township as Chairman thru COVID, and have responsibly utilized CARES funding to better the health, welfare and safety of our community. Additionally, I have creatively funded our FIRE and EMS services, both critical to our Township.
I would focus on creating a deeply connected and resilient support system for all residents and visitors, focusing on: - easy and low cost access to quality education and quality healthcare, - clean water and safe foods, - fostering an environment of economic stability and work opportunities, - create places where strong social networking and family values can be fostered and supported, - promote empowering the voice of all members of the community by public engagement with their leadership.
As a Supervisor and Chairman, I have consistently been overly transparent about official actions discussed or taken by our governing Board. Our meetings are open to al; I constantly engage our taxpayers at meetings during public comment periods and prior to and during discussions of matters to be voted upon. I have always had an open-door policy and meet with constituents on a regular basis to solve real-world problems. This helps combat misinformation. I also have a great press relationship.
