My top priority at the moment is to keep the residents of China safe from becoming sick with COVID-19. We have had to discontinue some popular things such as the "Free for the Taking” area at our transfer station, but it is in the best interest of the residents.

Many years ago, I was on a committee whose mission was to find a lakefront property that the Town could acquire for a public beach. I would like to look into that again.

In general, communication is always a big priority of mine. It is important to keep people informed about "the goings on about town," and it is also important to hear from residents who have a need or concern so the Board can address it. We can't fix it, if we don't know about it! So keeping the lines of communication open is essential to effecting positive change.
I have lived in China for more than 30 years. I raised my family here and volunteered in the community by helping in the schools, serving on the China School Committee, editing the newsletter for the China Lake Association, and holding various leadership positions in other local organizations. I am passionate about protecting the environment and recognize the importance of the health of China Lake to our local economy. I was elected last March to the Selectboard and have thoroughly enjoyed working with the other dedicated Board members, our new Town Manager, and our capable staff. I continue to be impressed by our schools; I am grateful for the wonderful job our Food Pantry does serving needy families; and I am proud to be part of such a caring community whose residents go above and beyond to help their neighbors.
