Responding to the impact COVID-19 has had on our small businesses by supporting additional bridge loan programming, and ensure resources are easily available to the citizens of Bath who have been affected by this virus through job loss, food insecurity, lack of childcare and illness. Ensuring construction projects in Bath take into account the impacts of climate change, have a reduced carbon footprint and utilize the most efficient green power options available. Approving the expansion of green space in our downtown, and supporting legislation that makes Bath more bike and pedestrian friendly. Supporting projects that aim to resolve the low to mid income housing gap issue in Bath so more people will work in our city, generate revenue as consumers in the downtown and shopping district, and utilize local public transport. Collaborating with my peers at City Hall to develop creative solutions for where we will put our solid waste once our landfill reaches capacity over the next ten years.
I love serving the people of Bath, and being instrumental in deciding the future of our city, Maine's "Coolest Little City!" I have no personal agenda, my only aim is to support my constituents by being a conduit for them to City Hall. After working for nearly 20 years directly with the public, my ability to communicate effectively with empathy and without bias has helped me build trust with the citizens of Bath. My background in the financial services and wealth management industry, and education in natural science has complimented my work at City Hall, and will continue to influence my decisions on all future city projects.
