The Office of the Monmouth County Clerk is comprised of 5 Divisions: Property Recording, Clerk of Elections, Archives, Passports, and Office of Records Management.

I would like to expand the services that are offered by the Monmouth County Clerk Office

1 Provide training for election poll workers, and Notaries 2.Utilize the Mobile Van to bring services into the 53 Municipalities throughout the year 3.Educate Young Voters 4. Register Young Voters 5.Keep the Office of the Clerk Non-Partisan. 6.Restore integrity and trust
When I became the President of the Asbury Park BOE it was very important to me to build relationships with my divided and dysfunctional Board. I listened more than I spoke to give them the opportunity to share their knowledge and express their concerns. This helped me to understand their perspective because what they said mattered to me. My method of leadership has resulted in a increase in our Board Governance Score from 40 to 95 percent! Our first high school Dream Academy cohort of students graduated with an Associate Degree from Brookdale Community College,while our remaining seniors are enrolled in college. Collectively benefiting from a total of $300,000 in scholarships! I will be non-partisan and will work to restore integrity, and trust to the Clerk's Office. Finally,I will always provide the highest quality of customer service to all citizens of Monmouth County. I have dedicated 20 plus years of my life as a Public Servant. Creating and implementing mentoring programs for women and their children living in the public housing sector. Programs that have increased self-esteem and self-confidence.I have received the Distinguished Public Servant Award in honor of Women's History Month from Senator Vin Gopal, and the Rosa Parks Legacy Award for my public service to the people of Asbury Park and Neptune.

Since becoming County Clerk in 2015, I have been making many changes to the various divisions within the office to improve efficiencies and utilize technology to provide better service to the public. Going forward, I will continue to make necessary changes and improvements to include the additional digitization of records, restoration and preservation of historic books and documents (which has already begun), as well as the archiving of contemporary digital records so that future generations can learn from the important records we maintain. Since the County Clerk is responsible for the County Archives, where over a million county and historical records are stored, I will continue to upgrade the equipment and technology needed to preserve these records for generations to come. In addition, due to the ever changing state mandates relating to the election process, we will need to reevaluate staffing levels and work space in order to keep up with the additional workload. I will also expand on the progress I have made in the elections division of the office to expand voter outreach and education.
It has been my honor to serve the residents of Monmouth County as County Clerk since 2015. Prior to being elected as County Clerk, I practiced law for over 20 years with experience in government affairs and municipal law. I am also a former Commissioner on the Monmouth County Board of Elections and served as an Assistant Prosecutor in Bronx County, New York. My experience as an attorney and now as County Clerk for the past five years allows me to have the unique qualifications suited for the position of Clerk, which oversees the legal recording and preservation of property and other government records, passport services, election related matters, the County Archives, and digital record management. Since becoming the County Clerk, I have modernized and expanded the services of the office. My initiatives include the creation of several new and easy to use websites, launching one of the first elections mobile phone applications in the state, implementing a free property fraud alert service and spearheading the first ever in Monmouth County mobile government outreach programs to bring services to the residents of Monmouth County in their own communities. I am also proud to have launched the Monmouth County “Honoring our Heroes” veterans appreciation program that has grown to include over 250 business in Monmouth County who offer a special service or discount.
Public Outreach has been a primary concern of mine since becoming County Clerk in 2015. Although the County Clerk handles a multitude of services, the public was not aware of many of the services the County Clerk had to offer. Immediately after becoming Clerk, I launched the first ever "Mobile County Connection" in Monmouth County to bring the services of the Clerk out to the public in the many communities in Monmouth County. In addition, I began a robust social media presence to educate the public about the many services the Clerk has to offer, including Election information, passport services, historical research assistance and more. I also created a new web presence with a fully revamped website, a special elections website, a regular eNewsletter, and a new free elections mobile app. Because some of our residents may not have regular access to the internet, I also created many brochures and paper newsletters to give out to the public in various locations, and I have visited many communities, organizations and schools to educate residents about our services. All of these methods have helped to communicate the County Clerk's services to the public, and allow residents to have a greater understanding of the many services we offer. If elected to another term, I will continue to investigate new and additional ways to communicate with the public as it is important to communicate with the public via all platforms available.
