Candidates for zone positions must own or manage 10 or more acres of land in the district, actively managing the land if not a resident of the district, or reside in the district and have been director or associate director of a district and have an approved conservation plan.Salary: NoneTerm: 4 yearsDuties: Soil and Water Conservation Districts work on a voluntary, non-regulatory basis toward keeping water clean, conserving water and keeping soil healthy.

I currently serve as executive director of the Oregon Association of Conservation Districts. I have served on the Clackamas SWCD board for 12 years. As a prior member of OWEB I reviewed water quality and soil related projects. As a councilor for the city of Sandy we have been working on plans for stormwater retention & repair of connecting pipes as part of a new wastewater system with green discharge capacity. I've worked with RACs with OR Water Resources Dept. on water issues.
