Priorities include providing a continued focus on integrity and security of elections in the County. The recent acquisition & implementation of a county-wide election system has been just one step in this process. We continue to strive to provide good customer service & promote transparency. My qualifications include 23 years experience as your County Clerk and ongoing continuing education through Wisconsin County Clerks Assoc. and Wisconsin Election Commission webinar and training sessions.
Although direct management of polling location is done at the municipal level, our office continues to work in a supporting role with the Municipal Clerk. Our office has been a key player in the acquisition, coordination and distribution of critical PPE to municipalities. We also act as a vehicle to share key information and education with municipalities on a wide range of election related topics including COVID-19 and polling place management and protection.
Our office regularly provides one on one voting information to voters. We continue to promote the use of the MyVote website to check registration status, request absentee ballots or key election information. Absentee hours are set by local municipalities and is out of the scope of my authority. I do support the expanded use of secure drop boxes for absentee ballot return and our office has assembled a listing of the secure municipal drop boxes in Walworth County.
