Changes in technology and the backlog of criminal cases resulting from COVID-19 shutdowns will be the biggest challenges facing the District Attorney's Office in the coming years. My knowledge of procedures within Walworth County has assisted with developing improvements in transferring electronic documents and digital media between law enforcement and attorneys. My litigation experience of over 60 jury trials has allowed me to prepare my office for the many trials we are anticipating.

The role of the District Attorney is to seek justice. Treating people fairly and respectfully leads to trust. As District Attorney, I seek justice by applying the law equally to everyone, regardless of their background or upbringing. The District Attorney's Office utilizes interpreters and has two victim witness coordinators to assist victims navigating the criminal justice system.
