Currently, the most important challenge that the Morris Plains school district is facing is adjusting traditional instructional practices to accommodate for COVID-19 guidelines and restrictions. As a member of the board of education, I feel that it is important to continue to survey all stakeholders to continually evolve our educational practices so that we may continue to best meet the needs of our students, staff, and community. As a practicing educator, I am well-versed in effective instructional practices and look to continue to serve as an asset to the district in navigating this unprecedented time.
As an educator beginning my 20th year in the profession, I am truly passionate about teaching children and preparing them for their future. I believe that our students deserve the best education possible in addition to opportunities and experiences that expand their horizons and knowledge base.
I will continue to provide the necessary support and resources to the administration to help guide and support the decisions being made in relation to the COVID-19 crisis all while keeping the best interests of our students and staff at the forefront.
