I would make it possible to submit an absentee ballot application online and spread dropboxes throughout all counties so we would not be forced to rely on the postal service.
We need to close corporate tax loopholes and raise taxes on those making 200k/year to have the revenue to properly fund our public education system.
Protecting our water, air, and land is critical for both our future and our economy. We need to work with our farmers to balance the need of food production and ensure we have clean water. As for climate change, we need to repeal HB6 and restore clean energy incentives, and retire coal energy facilities.
We need to create a partnership with broadband providers to build out our infrastructure, which will both help those in need during this pandemic, and help Ohio compete for jobs and industry once the pandemic ends.
We need to implement sensible gun control solution as soon as possible. Guns were invented to kill people. While our constitution does permit us to bear arms, many seem to disregard the "well regulated" portion of the 2nd amendment. Creating a structure similar to what we have with motor vehicles, where every firearm is registered, and gun owners are required to have a license which also requires the passing of a test. How many people need to die in a school, or outside a bar, or at a concert for gun owners to accept some inconvenience.
We need to ensure lines are drawn by an independent non partisan commission to ensure voters choose their politicians, and that politicians do not choose their voters.
We need to ensure that women's reproductive healthcare is protected so that her health needs are not determined by politicians but by she and her doctor.
It is appropriate for the state to restrain local government when local government actions put the lives of people at unnecessary risk.
