Some of the most critical challenges Atlantic County faces are economic development, job diversity, and social equity. This is the platform I'm running on. Atlantic County has been the hardest hit in foreclosures and unemployment during the recession.Atlantic County has so much to offer.Placed between the Philadelphia metro area and the Jersey shore, we have a wide variety of residential options, job opportunities, and excellent schools.I plan to continue to attract good projects, enhancing the quality of life and services provided in this unique shore region of the world, all while creating ratables and good-paying career opportunities. As you can see in my two years as Committeeman in Egg Harbor Township, we have done just that. When national chains like Chick-Fil-a, and Royal Farms wanted to come to Atlantic County. They chose Egg Harbor Township. Those choices are because Atlantic County is the right place to expand and because Egg Harbor Township is one of the best-run communities.
I have a BS in Business Administration, an MSED in Mathematics, management experience in the Casino and restaurant industry.I launched two successful small businesses and served as a liaison for economic development as a Township Committeeman in Egg Harbor Township. Please take a look around Egg Harbor Township; we have cut so many ribbons. The new Atlanticare surgical center, two Royal farms Gas station and convenience store,Dunkin Donuts, brought Vagabond,Car Toyz,Texas RoadHouse,Charleys Philly steaks, Garden State Deli,Cornerstone nutrition, local breweries,Circle K,Buddy's adventure zone a 36,000sqft recreational, educational facility, and ShopRite fulfillment. We are also certified to the state that we are open and encouraging medical marijuana facilities to develop in Egg Harbor Township. We secured a grant to redevelop our major shopping areas in the township. If you take a ride through Egg Harbor Township, you can take a look around and see a model of what I will bring to the county.
I am committed to fairness, justice, and equity in the formulation of public policy, distribution of public services, public policy implementation, and management of all institutions serving the public directly or by contract. This will ensure that every demographic group in the County is fairly represented in all departments, contracts, involvement, and services.
Preventing another COVID-19 outbreak in Atlantic County starts with testing. We need to have testing permanently available here and make the public aware of how to get tested.Atlantic County government needs to be a driver in powering our economy back to pre COIVD-19 levels. Many small businesses in our County suffered tremendous losses if they were even able to keep their doors open. We need to put them in a position to succeed to continue to provide the outstanding goods and services we all depend on. We also have to assist all of our residents who lost their jobs due to COVID-19 and provide job retraining opportunities. Many of these things start with making sure Atlantic County is a place that's business-friendly and open for business. This includes working with the ACEA and other incubators to bring opportunities here. Finally, the impact on schools and our children cannot be measured. We need to monitor our students across the County, especially those at risk or have disabilities.
