Hudson County Freeholder District 4

Hudson County is governed by the Hudson County Executive and a nine-member Board of Chosen Freeholders as a legislative body, who administer all county business. The County Executive is elected directly by the voters. The members of the Board of Chosen Freeholders are elected concurrently to serve three-year terms as Freeholder, each representing a specified district which are equally proportioned based on population. Each year, in January, the Freeholders select one of their nine to serve as Chair and one as Vice Chair for a period of one year.District 4 serves North Eastern Jersey City.
