In the middle of a pandemic, nobody in Maine should be worried about losing their homes or not being able to afford medical care. There is a crisis of housing and homeless in Portland and around the state, and we need voices in the legislature who know what it's like to live and work in the 21st century economy.

The state will be facing drastic budget shortfalls, and unless we act boldly, the cuts will hit working and middle-class families the hardest. We need to raise revenue from the wealthiest Maine people and businesses so that we can fully fund our schools and the programs that working Mainers depend on to survive.

The climate crisis has not gone away simply because we are in a pandemic. We need to act now to build a green energy economy that will employ thousands of Mainers into the future.

Municipalities spend millions every year on militarized police. They end up resembling occupying armies more than local police. We should direct that funding to where it's needed most.
Housing, Healthcare, Climate.
I will regularly do outreach, and schedule meetings and phonecalls with my constituents to make sure they are getting their voices represented in Augusta. When it is safe, I will join and organize forums on important issues affecting the State.

I think it's incumbent upon Portland representatives to be engaged with the rest of Maine to counter the "two Maines" narrative - one of the wealthy coast and one of the working inland. I will be engaged with voters all over the state, working to find common ground on issues that affect us all.
My district is the transportation hub of Portland, and there are many jobs that could be created by investing in public transit.

Small businesses need on-going support to keep their doors open and to keep employees on payroll, I support ongoing zero-interest loans for small businesses that might otherwise go under because of the economic fallout from coronavirus.
