Biographical Information

What do you consider the top priority(ies) in the next municipal budget and how will you minimize impact on taxpayers? Please discuss no more than three priorities.

What do you consider the most important issue facing the municipality today and how would you address the issue if elected to office?

What is your view on consolidation of municipalities and/or sharing services with neighboring municipalities?

What would you to to promote economic development and attract businesses to the municipality?

I feel we need a salary review, a review of certain positions in the borough. Our salaries are a large part of the budget and must be reduced to help lower our municipal taxes. There seems to be a lot of people working for the borough and I’m not sure what they do. If elected I would ask for some type of audit to see who is doing what.
Tax rate of course, a total lack of transparency on borough issues. Lack of communication on most of the boroughs initiatives. Things like the electronic sign not being updated, minutes of meetings being months behind. These are simple things that I believe are important to the community to keep people aware of what is going on. If I am elected I would see to it that these things be addressed.
I am in favor of consolidating our trash, leaf and branch trucks our sewer and parts of our public works department. I have brought that up at several council meetings only to be told, we checked that out and no one is interested. I would make that a priority if elected to reach out to local governments and pursue consolidation.
Unfortunately we have multiple empty buildings that could and should be utilized before we build new ones. I feel the current council doesn’t put in much effort. I would personally pursue companies to come to Clementon and offer some type of incentive to do so. We recently had our historic Clementon Amusement park close, I would personally attempt to find a buyer by playing up the towns history and how important it is to our community.
