Protecting the individual becoming homeless should be assisted in every manner possible or have the resources for upward motions. I have run for Denver Mayor several times and have an administrative responsibility for the City and County. Mayor is the top cop/Marshal/Sheriff ; The buck stops here in that office when the charter is challenged. Council wants to break apart that policy. I first suggested the powerful Mayor management be determined. I too thought Election would select better candidates; As the historian for Denver's first Mayor for Wm. Larimer's City of Denver 1859 and celebrated first elected Marshal & founder Wilson E. SISTY. I decided that the Mayor in Denver has a unique opportunity and perspective to manage from the Top. Ok, I'm not running for that position but you all know

Promote the use of better voting methods in public elections.

This issue is important because of the enormous, sometimes life-or-death influence of government on our lives, for example, by setting public health policies and going to war with other countries. It's important to elect leaders who best represent our interests.

Unfortunately, the vote-for-one plurality voting method used in most US elections can fail to elect the most-preferred candidate and can choose another candidate instead – a very UNdemocratic result! The 1992 and 2000 presidential elections are examples of that. There are several other problems.

I promote Approval Voting for single-winner elections. Approval Voting uses the the same type of ballot as we use now. The only difference is that you can vote for as many candidates as you like. Whoever gets the most votes wins! It's a very simple, low cost solution to the problems with the existing method.
Since I'm running on the single issue of voting reform, I'd rather not muddy the waters by expressing my opinions on other issues. I'd like votes for me to be indications of strong support for voting reform.

If you agree that voting reform is an important issue that deserves more attention, please vote for me and other Approval Voting Party candidates. If another candidate better represents your views, go ahead and vote for them instead.

Note that with the current voting method you can only vote for ONE candidate for each office. With Approval Voting, you could vote for ALL the candidates you like!
