What is your number one priority and why?

How will you address the economic crisis that has resulted from the COVID-19 pandemic?

Background I have lived in Salida, CO for 25 years, on my little ranch with llamas and chickens and we enjoy the wildlife out the south facing windows of our energy efficient home. Three children and 5 grandchildren bring me joy. Inspired by Bernie, having been an activist for years.

As State Representative my number one priority will be to bring universal Broadband Internet access to HD60. Education, government, business and citizen communications depend on having broadband internet to keep up with today’s world and our rural mountain areas are no exception. There is no technical reason or limitation that we can not have universal Broadband Internet service. It is a matter of Will; and I have the Will, if elected, to work to ensure that HD60 joins the modern internet world. Rural area broadband is depend on Public Private Partnerships.

To help the process go to and take the first step to help the State of Colorado recognize that we, here in Custer, Fremont, Park and Chaffee Counties are in dire need of access to broadband for all.
The economic crisis will be more difficult if we try to ‘get things back to normal’, we must instead go forward with green energy and green jobs in sunny Colorado. We need a government jobs program State and Federal. We also need all residents to have access to high quality health care.
