I would like to say my top priority is something routine like education, job growth, gun safety, or transit; unfortunately these are not routine times, our elected officials will be tasked for several years with recovering from the financial and health impacts of COVID-19. Therefore, my top priority will be the safe reopening and growth of our economy. That means listening to residents, business owners, health departments, and other stakeholders to weigh the risks of reopening against the economic needs of our state. It is my belief we can adapt to the new normal before us and take measures to reduce the impacts of COVID-19 while supporting our hardest hit businesses and workers.
We need to recognize that small-businesses, sole proprietors, and frontline business workers have been hardest hit. I want to be an advocate for those groups within our state government while helping them get information and clarity about what protective measures are being taken. I believe choosing between our health and our economy is a false choice, designed to divide us. We can take responsible, common sense steps to reduce the impacts of COVID-19 while still supporting our economy. It does require compromise and sacrifice, but I believe Americans are more than capable of working together to help our country and do not need to be separated into opposing sides in this conversation. I'm a coalition and consensus builder and would be honored to serve CO in this regard.

Reducing the size and scope of government. We have gone far afield of what this country was founded on and way beyond constitutional limits.
Get the government out of the way. The overreaction caused this mess.
