My #1 priority is the protection of all the freedoms enumerated in the US Constitution, both individual and family. I am opposed to the type of censoring going on in social media and on campuses. I oppose the assault on religious rights sneaking in at all levels of Government. (as an example, one Texas mayor tried to force all pastors and Rabbis (not sure if Imams were included) to turn in their sermons or studies to get approved in order to preach (teach) that lesson. Do not want to become like Canada with its rigid restrictions on what can be said both politically and religiously. I believe in the right of individuals to own arms to protect themselves and their loved ones (especially true for women). Our forefathers were intelligent men with great understanding on how things really works. I want the generations to come to have the same rights and freedom to live and excel in a country that provides the best opportunity to do so. We are not perfect, but we are the best out there.
We have to approach this from an economic system that works. Socialism will devastate this country as it did during the Great Depression. Government should realize that most of their programs have had a great failure rate. (Many economist believe what Roosevelt did in fact exacerbated and cause it to last longer than it could have). America's entrepreneurial spirit has the capability of helping us out of a potential catastrophe. The Government needs to realize that one size does not fit all. Some businesses will fail but new ones will take their place. New technologies and ingenuity will reshape the future. We do not have to look at this becoming a dismal new normal. America is great because of its people, not because of big Government. We have the will and ability to come back stronger than ever if the Government doesn't get in the way.
