I have lived in Tyler and Doddridge counties most of my life. It hasn’t been a walk in the park. I, like so many of us, have struggled and endured. There was a time when the state cared for me. I’m not ashamed to admit that I received unemployment benefits and food stamps to make ends meet. These were difficult times that taught me a lot about myself, and enabled my character to grow. Resilience and desire helped me achieve a successful 30-year career in software development and business analysis, raise successful children, and start multiple small business enterprises. As a member of the Chamber of Commerce, I continue to mentor and support small business, the life-blood of our economy. I welcome your insights. Forward together

Some counties, particularly in my district, have used grants and partnered with industry service providers to extend broadband access to every household in the county. These successes should be used as a template to continue to grow accessibility.
