I support equal rights and civil rights for all. If there are problems or areas that need to be addressed I will stand with others to do the right thing.
We need to bring medicaid back under the control of the state of Iowa, instead of out of state insurance companies. We need to increase funding for mental healthcare in all areas of the state.
We need to address income inequality. I think the middle class and the working poor already pay their fare share of taxes.
We have to keep guns away from criminals and those that would do harm. Red flag laws should be supported. Guns have to be kept out of the hands of children.
We need to make sure everyone can vote and participate in our government. A photo ID required to vote is a form of voter suppression. We need to make sure that law enforcement respects the rights of all.

Make health insurance and Medicaid cover proactive health habits such as yoga, massage therapy, or offer incentives for healthier diet choices like whole organic foods.
Revitalizing the spirit of the people to be solid in their identity, and connected with their life's meaning, purpose, and destiny. Happy healthy people create healthy happy economies.

Yes, taxes must be reformed to incentivize progress and productivity. Shift burden away from personal and corporate income taxes and capital gains taxes (which disincentives wealth) to local property tax and state sales tax.
Decriminalize drugs to remove black market incentives for violence.
Repair our prisons and criminal justice institutions to reflect the God-given dignity of every person.
