Increase funding and help for childcare centers, refund Planned Parenthood, advocate for Equal Pay for Equal Work.
Abolish the privatized Medicaid system in Iowa, expand Medicaid, work to create a medicaid for all system. Healthcare is a right.
Yes, childcare should be funded so women can go to work without worrying about the well-being of their young children. Many women in Iowa are the head of the household and are the only people who bring home an income. They need help. I would advocate to raise the minimum raise in Iowa that is currently at $7.25 so the less fortunate women have to work more than one job to pay the rent, utilities, childcare and other living expenses. Most women do not have health insurance and resort to Medicaid, but our controversial privatized Medicaid system is not sufficient to meat the needs of families. Women should be educated to know they are valued and important part of our society.
Advocate for Background checks, red flag laws, repeal the Stand Your Ground Law, Educate. Do not let counties and municipalities declare themselves Gun Sanctuaries.
Advocate that all humans, no matter what color, sex or identified gender, are to be treated equally.
