The problems facing the community that I was born and raised in can be broken down into a few key areas: economic struggle, a lack of community cohesion, and a concern over police oversight.

Economic Struggle: We are going to be in uncharted territory with the financial damage done by COVID-19, but there are things that we can do to lay the foundation for improvement that will benefit not just the short term health of Neptune, but the future as well. First and foremost, we need to jump-start Midtown redevelopment in order to bring much needed revenue and jobs to our community. I will also revisit our Strategic Economic Development plan so that we can update it for the current environment and get Neptune moving forward.

Community Cohesion: To start with, I will work on making sure that all parts of Neptune are treated equally, as they deserve to be. Next, I will push for an expanded notification system of what activities are available in our town. Finally, I will be setting up a Youth Community Consortium to address youth concerns and give them a voice.

Police Oversight: Our community deserves a full say in how the police force is run and I will work to do that. I will strengthen the police oversight committee and push for additional training for our officers so that they have all of the tools needed to provide a police force that works in unity with our citizens.
I have spent years working as a manager of teams of various sizes on projects both large and small, which gives me a good skillset for working towards a common goal. I have also served 4+ years on the Neptune Planning board, which provided me a detailed understanding of the goals of Neptune and how we strive to be a business friendly town that never forgets that our citizens must always come first. However, the most important experience I bring to the table is my love for my town.

Outside of a couple years in college and, a few years as a baby, I've been privileged to call Neptune my home. I was born in Jersey Shore Hospital, went to Summerfield, Green Grove, the Middle school, and graduated from Neptune High School. Neptune provided me a nurturing community, good schooling, and also allowed me to take some night school work that helped me go on to get my Masters from NJIT. When it came time to start my family, I knew that I could never call any other place home. Even now, my kids are going to the same schools I did and are flourishing because of it.

All of this brings me to today. I owe this town and this community so much and I want to give back whatever I can. I can't claim to know all the problems that will be thrown at me in the future, but I can promise that Neptune, its past, and its future will always be on my mind as I work to overcome them.
The biggest factors in the quality of life for our residents can be summed up as security. Our residents need to be secure in their persons, secure in their finances, and secure in their community. To cover financial security, I will be pushing for economic development in Neptune to help with securing good jobs and business growth and will also work to make sure residents know of all available services to help out. For security in their person, I will work on strengthening community police oversight so that our citizens and our police force can work as one unified team that improves the lives of our residents. For security in our community, I plan on safely starting up community meetings so that residents can work more closely with the committee to implement the changes that they see as needed to make Neptune the great place we all know it is.
