Budget is the most obvious, I plan on continuing to encourage grant applications as well as continuing to lobby our legislators. The second priority is equity in education, in this area the school has made great improvements. I would like to incorporate our amazing community in that. Third, area is the communication between the district and the Community. Here I would continue in the direction we have been moving in; having committees with community members on them. Last year we had to cancel due to COVID, that would be a great starting point to begin to accomplish the goals.
I have been on the Board for six years, the last two as President. I have led the board through a pandemic and believe that we have still been able to move forward. Personally, I have two children in district, tow very different learners and interests. I have the patience and respect for the public to continue to help the district move forward.
I believe the schools are the heart of the community or can be. I watched our amazing community rally around our seniors and lend a hand to those that needed it. I would like to see that type of talking continue and grow.
