COUNCIL / MAYORThe governing body consists of a Mayor and a Borough Council comprising six council members, with all positions elected at-large on a partisan basis as part of the November general election. A Mayor is elected directly by the voters to a four-year term of office. 1.Property taxes have increased 10% since last year-I’d like to dig into this and see where our money is going 2.Transparency and live-streaming at council meetings-With our lack of time and our energy being poured into our work and families we need to have the ability to watch meetings online and we need complete disclosure of what's going on in our town. 3.Trash cleanup- we need more people involved in cleaning up the environment. We don’t need to pay big companies to clean up after ourselves. I’m pushing to get people out once a month to donate some time to pick up trash.
The most important issue facing this municipality and every municipality on this planet is clean air and water. I will continue to do things like picking up trash, minimize using plastic, and pushing to use existing buildings and open space before taking out trees for new construction,
I am in a small town that honors it’s individuality. I do believe that sharing services with other municipalities would benefit our town. Combining efforts uses less money and resources. That would result in less taxes.
Our town needs more businesses to help offset our residential property taxes and bring in revenue Perhaps we could offer incentives like tax breaks and make it less ifwould like to see better use of my town's baseball fields and concession stand sits empty would benefit of our recreational center that can
