An elected school board member serves a three-year term. The school board represents the concerns of citizens, taxpayers and parents to the school administrators, and represents the needs of the students and school district to citizens, taxpayers and parents. The school board does not operate the district on a day-to-day basis; that is the job of the superintendent (the district’s chief executive). Rather, the school board sets policies, goals and objectives for the district, and holds the superintendent responsible for implementing those policies and goals. Residents deserve dedicated representation who genuinely have their best interest in the forefront of decision making.

As a teacher for more than a decade
Educational resources, including hiring highly qualified certified staff. The children deserve to have professionals who have acquired the proper credentials before performing the duties.
Test score provide a fraction of the evidence for student growth. As each child is different, assessments should be defined accordingly to adequately identify their growth. It's important that teachers are equipped with understanding how to identify learning styles and create assessments that best suits the child. In order to successfully implemented, class sizes will be reduced.
Understanding that money does not truly solve the larger issue in education, the formula is not fair because it reduced flatly across the districts. Instead, districts should have been evaluated individually and their independent needs should have been assessed.
Communication between a number of entities, including social services and law enforcement. Additionally, building secure relationships with families.
