We are looking for cost saving measures in our Departments to limit having to add to our current debt service in the short term. In the long term, we have been able to stabilize our taxes while still still providing for basic services in town and I will continue to do so if I am reelected.
I would say we are all learning that it is important to balance budgets, limit debt service, and collect revenue from all sources, not just from the current tax base. Receiving PILOT revenue is an important step to this, and want to see more fair deals.
