The Learning Community will continue to expand its programming and meet the needs of the community always committed to reaching its goal of closing the opportunity gaps within the 11 school districts it serves. It will continue its partnerships with other organizations such as The Buffet Early Childhood Institute, Project Harmony and One World to accomplish common goals. Through its newly formed Foundation the Learning Community will be an innovator in the community.
The mission of The Learning Community is to close the opportunity gap between the wealthy areas of the city and the more challenged areas. Through innovative programming and collaborative efforts the research is showing that there have been quantitative gains.
The Learning community can improve outcomes for all students by listening to the needs of each of the 11 districts, partnering with local districts to create programs that are tailored to the needs of the individual schools and constantly adjusting to the changing needs
