Experience matters. I have gained experience on critical issues in Weld County by owning my own small business, serving in the state legislature and on the Weld County Council, helping various civic and charitable organizations and leading the Republican Party.

During my years of public service in Weld County, I have a record of standing for limited government, fiscal responsibility and personal accountability. As a State Representative I worked across the aisle and passed thirteen bills, while being recognized by many organizations for my steadfast resolve to fight for our constitutional rights and time-honored principles.

I have built friendships across Weld County by leading the Republican party and serving various charitable organizations like United Way, Greeley Chamber of Commerce, Partners Mentoring Youth, Shaffer Enterprises, and Habitat for Humanity.
My priorities as commissioner will be to assure sound financial management of Weld’s resources, to conduct county business in an open and transparent manner and to include citizen input from every corner of the county. We have been blessed in Weld County to have no county sales tax and no short term or long-term debt. With threats to oil and gas revenue and declining revenues from the current pandemic, it will be important to account for every dollar. It is also vitally important that commissioners represent all of Weld’s residents by traveling the county, listening to educators, small business owners, farmers, parents and other important stakeholders. If anyone wants to contact me they should call me at (970) 302-4013.
To retain our special way of life in Weld County, I believe we must protect the development of our natural resources like oil and gas, build our infrastructure especially roads and water, maintain a strong public safety team and look for every opportunity to promote economic development in the county.
