Biographical Information

How would you address Illinois' revenue shortfall, especially in light of COVID-19, including plans to raise more revenue and how to prioritize spending?

Do you support the Fair Tax (graduated rate income tax) amendment?

What measures will you support for equitable redistricting?

What is your position on vote by mail and would you support a universal vote by mail for Illinois?

The Illinois revenue shortfall must be combated by reducing spending. We don't have to raise more revenue, we just have to audit the budget and cut unnecessary expenditures.
No, I do not support The Fair Tax. It is just a way to put into place an adjustable taxation tool that may appear to be for “just the wealthy” but has the very real possibility of being expanded to lower through upper middle class. Any time you allow taxation, it is safe to assume it will eventually trickle down to the average person. “The Wealthy” can move but the expenditures that were created based on the taxes from “The Wealthy” will remain and still have to be paid for.
The only measures I will support for redistricting is insuring that both liberal and conservative representatives participate equally in the redistricting. Redistricting should be done in such a way that eliminates “pockets” of party line voters as much as possible.
Vote by mail leaves too many opportunities for voter fraud or lost/misplaced ballots. Outside of absentee ballots voting should be done in person on paper on election day.
