Current Occupation Summit County Fiscal Officer
I am uniquely qualified because I have a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, I am a CPA, as well as a Certified Fraud Examiner. As a Certified Fraud Examiner not only am I trained to investigate fraud, but more importantly to prevent fraud. I have put in place policies, procedures, and internal controls so that we balance $1 billion annually, to the penny, on a daily basis. I have been with the Summit County Fiscal Office for over 20 years and have served as the Summit County Fiscal Officer for over 9 years. I am extremely knowledgeable about the services we provide and the programs we offer.
My first priority is to maintain the excellent customer service and consumer protection that is provided in the Auditor, Treasurer, and Recorder Divisions of the Fiscal Office. I will also continue to safeguard and protect over $1 billion of taxpayer's money annually. It is my responsibility to ensure that taxpayer dollars are invested wisely. Lastly, I will collaborate with other offices to create new programs that are efficient and cost-effective. I will continue to look for ways to better serve the citizens of Summit County.
Throughout this pandemic, my number one priority and goal has been keeping my employees safe, while continuing to provide all of our services to the public. By practicing social distancing and following the CDC’s recommended guidelines, my office has been successful in creating a safe environment to continue to provide our services to the public. Implementing a creative employee work schedule and taking advantage of technology has allowed all of my employees to do their jobs, limit their exposure to others, and remain safe throughout the duration of this pandemic.
