I have 25 years of knowledge and experience with the Courts. I started my career with the Circuit Clerk's Office in 1995 at an entry level position and worked my way up into management. I was elected into office in 2016 and I am seeking my second term as Circuit Clerk. In my first term in office I have been able to to bring a lot of positive change to the Courts. My role as Circuit Clerk is crucial in the Judicial Process to ensure that the Courts are operating at their bests. I pride myself on understanding people and putting customer service a priority. I am a wife, mother of two and I love my job. I am an executive member of the Illinois Circuit Clerks Associaiton, as a co-chair on the Legislation Committee and member of Northeastern Circuit Clerks Association, WCBA, Police Chiefs Association of Will County and Will County Expungement Committee. I was selected by the Illinois Suppreme Court to serve with the Illinois Judicial Conference. I was a course instructor at Ed Con 2020.
I am excited to move into the new Courthouse this fall which is top priority. I am always looking for ways to improve and streamline processes that would benefit everyone especially my staff members. I will look to bring different options and services to court users. You can trust that I willl take extra measures to secure court data and document images. I will continue to find ways to save taxpayers money. With my integration projects we are moving away from the reliance on paper. I will keep enhancing remote access to the Courts even after the pandemic. I will keep working with the judges and other court related agencies to make the Courts more efficient. I will continue to hire skilled individuals that are professional, helpful and able to handle any tasks for customers as customer service is my priority. I will give them the tools to do so. I have been sucessful with launching projects that integrate systems reducing the manual data entry process. I will keep updating my website.
I have been sucessful in completing multiple projects that use technology to enhance operations and secure court data. I have championed civil and criminal e-filing, on boarded our judges to review and sign order electronically, integrated e-citations that the officers write reducing the manual data entry process, reduced the reliance on paper and have courtrooms that are "file-less", digitalizing millions of documents for easy access to the public and staff for better retrieval of archived and microfilmed cases, save taxpayer dollars by recovering unpaid fines and costs owed to the Courts using collection and tax off-set, created a plead and pay system and implemented on-line traffic safety school option, offer free on-line case look up through the website, live chat and launched remote access for court appearances, updated our operating system, & added additional security measure including an off-site redundant co-location of our production environment in case there is an emergency.
