Healthcare, workers rights, and education are the basic necessities that every American needs access too in order to have a successful pursuit of the American dream. And our state and federal government is failing us in that goal.
My approach would be unrelenting in getting results from everyone working in the state capitol. If you are unwavering and persistent everyday then people get tired of saying “no” over and over again. And that is the biggest challenge in our capitol. Getting anything of substance accomplished.

I continue to work in the area of Early Childhood Development and Education. I believe focusing state resources in this area will pay great returns in the future. I also focus my time on K-12 Education because I believe education increases opportunities for wealth, which in turn provides opportunities to improve the health of all Missourians. In addition, as a member of the House Budget committee I work to prioritize the use of our state resources.
I believe we need to focus on those areas that will have the maximum long term benefit. Examples would be Early Childhood Education, K-12 Education and Workforce Development. Also, I believe we need to take advantage of the internet sales tax issue to increase state revenues. I also believe we need to provide the opportunity for Missouri voters to vote on a fuel tax to improve the transportation infrastructure of our state. Last, this pandemic has truly magnified the need for Broadband for all Missourians and I will continue to work with other legislators to find a solution to this problem.
