I am running for re-election to my 6th term as the Representative for District 16. I first ran to make a difference, to see how I could bring resources to our communities and to be a strong voice. I have over 35 years of experience in County government, and 10 years in the Legislature. I'm currently the House Majority Floor Leader, which puts me in a leadership role in the House of Representatives.
1. Due to Covid-19, the State and Nation has been struggling through a financial crisis. The top priority is to stabilize the budget due to the tremendous decrease in revenue. Assure shovel ready capitol improvement projects can proceed, thus providing some much needed jobs. Shore up the rainy day fund to cover future deficits as soon as the need arises.

2. Focus on economic recovery and educational policies that make sure students stay on track with learning Future policies and funding are needed in order for businesses to come back, taking into consideration the new way of doing business around the world.

I'm running for State Representative in House District 16 as a continuation of my efforts that started with testifying before council in 2017. We need to balance the economic disparity that results in drug and alcohol abuse, domestic violence, crime, homelessness, survival trafficking and suicide so that we may be in true practice of capitalism where one is not allowed to profit off exploitation. As a Republican I value Freedom and Justice for All equally. After my final testimony before council expressing my dissent in their failure to act towards this humanitarian crisis I began my race for mayor to continue the conversation on a broader platform which has aimed me to pursue this seat at the House where the jurisdiction lies to change it.
When elected I will balance the economy by introducing measures to allow for the taxes collected from businesses profiting off the land, air, sea, spring, river, 'Aina, Aloha, Mana to remain on the island (county) where generated and be distributed as dividends paid (meaning money owed) to the residents of said island the way the Permanent Fund in Alaska operates with regards to their natural resource of oil. This will result in more individual family independence and the creation of prosperity by infusing stabilization where one can dedicate in establishing small businesses and follow ones calling in the pursuit of happiness wherever it may lead and furthermore allow for active participation by all residents in the free market. Thank you..
